Physiotherapy Consultations and Treatment

K2 Physiocare will undertake a comprehensive assessment of your problem before devising an individually tailored treatment programme. You will be allocated AT LEAST one hour for the initial consultation. Treatment programmes may include one or more of the following:

Podiatry Service

A Biomechanical Assessment is a thorough examination of the foot and lower limb. Lower limb problems that can require a Biomechanical assessment include:
 
Heel Pain (including plantar fasciitis/heel spurs)
Forefoot Pain (including matatarsalgia)
Arch Pain
Ankle Pain
Ankle Sprains/Weak Ankles
Achilles Tendon Pain
Fallen Arches/Flat Feet
BunionsExcessive Pronation/Supination
Joint Pain e.g Knee Pain, Hip Pain

The examination involves:

 
Taking a full history of your lower limb problem and health status
Assessment of your lower limb and foot alignment
Assessing the range of movements of joints and quality of movement of the joints in the lower limb and foot
Assessing foot function during standing and walking
Assessment of footwear
Diagnosis of any functional problems that may require treatment

Podiatric treatments for lower limb pain/problems may include:

Orthoses (in shoe devices/insoles) that support and realign foot posture to improve foot function during walking
